CARROLLTON, Texas — Sage/Quick Technologies Inc. recently announced its Sage Showcase 2009 schedule and a new pricing plan for supplier exhibitors. In an industry first, suppliers will now only pay for actual distributors that attend each show, with an absolute cap equal to the flat-fee price that Sage previously charged each supplier per week. “In today’s economy, suppliers are watching where they spend their money more than ever before. Suppliers want to see a direct return for their marketing dollars, and we don’t blame them. With the pay-per-attendee approach, suppliers will now only pay for distributors that attend the show, offering a safety net for exhibitors while still providing a cap on their ultimate marketing cost per show,” said David Natinsky, president. Mike McKew, trade-show manager, added “By only allowing 50 exhibitors per day, we will be able to keep a healthy distributor-to-supplier ratio and bring great attendance while helping the suppliers control and account for costs.” Sage Showcase will charge suppliers $1.50 per attendee with a max of $850 per week. McKew continued, “We are the first show in the industry to offer this model, and we are confident that exhibitors will appreciate our efforts. If you look at the competition, they are somewhere in the range of $3 per person if you assume their published attendance numbers are accurate. And of course they don’t give suppliers any downside protection.” Along with the new pricing announcement, Sage Showcase also released its 2009 schedule, which is available here. The showcase will visit 58 cities during its 2009 tour. Sage Showcase is free for distributors to attend.
